Online video footage from last Friday in Seattle shows the officers repeatedly striking the man with truncheons.
One of the policemen can be seen grabbing the man’s hair in the 40-second video before pinning him down with a knee to the back of his head.

What transpired prior to the officers beginning to beat the victim is not depicted in the video.

Seattle’s Office of Police Accountability is a watchdog group investigating the incident.

After her troubled predecessor Adrian Diaz was removed from office last week, Sue Rahr, the city’s acting police chief, stated that she had seen the footage and recognized the apprehension it had raised.

Her statement continued: “While OPA is conducting a full comprehensive investigation as required by our accountability process, my staff is gathering information, including all available videos for my review so I have a more complete picture of the entire incident.”

What happened to the man is unknown, as is whether the cops have been placed on leave while the investigation is ongoing.

“I don’t know what he did, he might have done something,” he said to News .
