The verbal sparring between Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of Kyber Pakhtunkhwa has intensified when the latter said in response to the former’s threats that the CM wouldn’t be able to carry out his vehement speeches.
Governor Kundi told the media, “Dancing horses do not win races,” in reaction to the chief minister’s threats to not impose taxes on the province.
Kundi, who has a history of verbal altercations with Gandapur, emphasized the chief minister’s numerous legal troubles regarding his purported role in the May 9 riots and the assassination of his own province minister.
It’s encouraging that the CM acknowledged that he is not a relative and asked me to list any positive traits he may have.
Kundi made these comments after Chief Minister Gandapur promised on Saturday to oppose taxation in the Malakand Division.
He said, “You’ll come on your own feet and will leave on shoulders,” in front of a crowd of people in Swat.
Along with promising to “hang” people who disobeyed the nation’s constitution, he also declared, “[I] swear to God, you will not be able to live in Pakistan, let alone Islamabad.”
In addition, Gandapur demanded identity from individuals who filed “fake cases” against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, who is currently imprisoned.
The chief minister of KP, Maryam Nawaz, addressed the assembly and named President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Punjab’s CM, Maryam Nawaz, as the people accountable for the party’s purported victimization.
