In 2015, the defunct singer was sentenced to 16 years in prison for the sexual abuse of three schoolgirls from 1975 to 1980.
After breaking his parole terms, he was brought back to prison less than six weeks after his release from prison last year.

After the woman filed a lawsuit against Glitter, a judge stated that she had suffered abuse “of the most serious kind” and has now granted her compensation.

The musician routinely sexually assaulted and “humiliated” her, according to the court record, causing her to remain unemployed for decades.

£7,800 for additional therapy and £381,000 for lost earnings are included in the award.

Glitter’s abuse had a “dramatic and terrible impact,” her attorney claimed.

Glitter, 80, might have to pay even more since legal costs and if interest is owed on the damages are going to be discussed at a later session.

Paul Gadd, the real identity of the convicted paedophile, was freed in February 2023 after serving half of his sentence.

However, he was back in jail a few weeks later after allegedly attempting to access child photos on the dark web.

No amount of money, according to law firm Slater & Gordon, could make up for the assault, but it did go some way toward acknowledging the “devastation” the woman’s life was wrought.
