In Pool C of the competition, Pakistan was unbeaten and on par with China, South Korea, and Chinese Taipei.
The Men in Green kicked off the competition in style on Wednesday, defeating Korea 2-1 and Taipei 3-0.
On Thursday, Noor Zaman, Farhan Mehboob, and Nasir Iqbal triumphed over Chinese players in their respective matchups.
In their matches versus Taipei, Nasir Iqbal, Asim Khan, and Noor Zaman prevailed. Asim Khan was the only Pakistani player to win over Korea, while Nasir Iqbal and Noor Zaman prevailed.
The competition’s quarterfinals are scheduled for tomorrow. India, Pakistan’s bitter rivals, will be their opponent in the round of eight.
