The Petroleum Division was the subject of a meeting led by Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, who gave him instructions to draft a plan for gasifying Thar coal.
A briefing on the proposals and developments pertaining to the gas and petroleum sectors was provided during the meeting.
The installation of smart meters is intended to deter pipeline theft of gas and oil. During the briefing, it was mentioned that policy related to electric automobiles, electric bikes, and electric household products is now under development.
The prime minister stated that we must prioritize advancing alternative energy, particularly solar energy.
According to Shehbaz Sharif, Thar coal is crucial for Pakistan’s energy requirements.
