Monsoon rains are predicted by Punjab’s Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) for the majority of the province’s districts. It states that there’s a good chance these showers will stick throughout the province till July 7.
According to a PDMA spokesman, the Chenab River near Marala has been placed under a medium-to-high-level warning, although the flow of water in the Punjabi rivers remains normal.
Since this notice calls for attention, PDMA DG Irfan Ali Kathia has directed all pertinent institutions to take all necessary precautions and preventative steps.
The PDMA official adds that Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Narowal, Lahore, and Sialkot could see significant rainfall.
However, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Murree, and the Galiyat are especially vulnerable because of the chance of rain and thunderstorms.
In order to protect safety and reduce potential damage, the PDMA highlights the significance of responsible authorities being vigilant and prepared throughout this rainy season.
Thanks to the refreshing sea wind, Karachi’s gloomy skies have provided a much-needed break from the scorching summer heat. The monsoon rains, which the Met Department says will arrive shortly, are much anticipated by the locals.
