Successful anti-smuggling operations by the Pakistan Coast Guard have led to the seizure of illicit diesel and the apprehension of unauthorized immigrants.
At the Uthal checkpoint, officials stopped two Toyota vehicles during normal inspections based on intelligence reports, seizing 10,370 liters of illicit Iranian diesel.
On a muddy track, authorities in a different operation between Lasbela and Hub confiscated 5,270 gallons of diesel from one automobile and two jeeps. Additionally, the cars were impounded.
The Coast Guard also engaged in the fight against unauthorized immigration. Five undocumented immigrants were detained in the Dasti Nala neighborhood of Gwadar. In the process, a speedboat was also taken into custody.
All cases now have legal actions pending as part of the Coast Guard’s ongoing anti-drug and anti-smuggling effort.
