The PTI called on allies of the ruling coalition government to clarify their stance on the plan to outlaw the former ruling party and demanded the use of Article 6 of the Constitution against those who carried out the unconstitutional actions despite the existence of a constitution in the nation, without specifically naming the PML-N.

At a news conference on Monday in Islamabad, the party’s leadership also denounced the federal government’s move to outlaw the party that Imran Khan founded.

Omar Ayub Khan, the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, asserted that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), one of the coalition’s allies, is not supporting the government’s possible move to outlaw the party.

According to Omar, “Are they standing by the democracy or civil martial law?” if they back the government’s “unconstitutional” move, then all other democratic parties had to make their stance clear.

In the elections held on February 8, the senior party leader said that at least 30 million votes were cast in favor of Imran Khan and the PTI, a total that all other political parties were unable to match.

Ayub, who has been critical of the current government’s budget, claimed that the actions the government has made thus far have resulted in higher inflation in the nation.

He went on to say that because the government has increased power rates, the price increase has not yet reached new heights.
