The royal family posted on social media for the first time after Prince Harry said that his fight against tabloids exacerbated his family’s estrangement.
“Ahead of the start of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, The Princess Royal has joined a reception with Team GB at the British Embassy in Paris,” the palace wrote alongside images of Princess Anne on its X account, which was formerly Twitter and Instagram.
“Olympic gold medalists Helen and Tom Daley were announced as Team GB’s flag bearers for the opening ceremony,” the statement continued. This is the royal family’s first social media post since Prince Harry, the younger son of King Charles, stated in an interview that his “mission” against British newspapers contributed to his breach with the family. Prince Harry has been involved in court disputes with the tabloids.
Since he and Meghan Markle left the UK, Harry has been at odds with his family, especially his brother Prince William and their father King Charles.
