According to a release, the Sindh Textbook Board (STBB) successfully finished distributing almost 700,000 sets of textbooks to government schools in the Karachi region on Thursday.
The announcement also stated that the last stage of book distribution to Karachi was completed with a ceremony at the Sindh Textbook Board’s warehouse in Landhi, Karachi. The attendees comprised of representatives from several fields, Malir district education officers, Abdul Aleem Lashari, Chairman of the Sindh Textbook Board, and Hafeezullah Mehar, Board Secretary.
Speaking to the media, STBB Chairman Abdul Aleem Lashari announced that books have been delivered to 17 districts in Sindh, with the last batch going to the Karachi district of Kemari.He affirmed that the Karachi region had received almost 700,000 textbook sets.
Lashari credited Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah’s directives for the books’ prompt delivery. In response to a question concerning the Textbook Board’s background, he said that, in spite of many difficulties along the way, it has been publishing and distributing books since 1970.
