ISLAMABAD: The Cabinet committee on Institutional Reforms on Friday made recommendations that would gradually phase out numerous positions in grades 1 through 16, limit the number of open positions to 150,000, and outlaw contingency recruitment.
A committee led by the minister of finance made proposals for right-sizing federal government departments during a meeting on public sector reduction, which was presided over by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
