It has just come to light that Princess Diana’s brother purportedly experienced numerous terrible childhood events after being taken away to boarding school.
For those who don’t know, the late Princess’ brother revealed all of these details in his recently published memoir.
The memoir recounts personal aspects of his time at boarding school as well as his life experiences.
The biography in question, “A Very Private School,” describes beatings that were very visible and six months of restless nights.
He even admitted to TES magazine that, in retrospect, “I said I wanted to go to a state school because it must be preferable to 13-week blocks away in a rather cold and unpleasant place” while thinking back on the memoir.
“To be completely honest, I think that coming from my background, teachers had absolutely no expectations of me,” he continued.
They simply believed that I would succeed in life regardless. I had the good fortune to float through.
“I don’t think he could have been that unhappy,” stated John Paul, the former headmaster, in response to Spencer’s discussion. “[Spencer’s] been in constant touch with the school ever since,” Paul said.
