Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said on Thursday that Pakistan has invited all heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to the upcoming Council of Heads of Government (CHG) meeting in Islamabad.
Speaking at a weekly news briefing in the nation’s capital, Baloch stated that Pakistan will be hosting the SCO moot on October 15–16, and Islamabad has also received some confirmations for this event.
In response to a query, Baloch stated that Pakistan and India do not have commercial ties.
Two days after Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif declared that Pakistan will undoubtedly invite Prime Minister Modi to the regional summit, there was an official confirmation that Islamabad has extended invitations to the heads of the SCO member nations.
