Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir gave a stirring speech on Pakistan’s 59th Defence Day, honoring the martyrs and reiterating the military’s steadfast commitment to defending the country’s sovereignty.
Defense Day, which is celebrated on September 6 every year, is a day of pride and memory for Pakistan due to the military’s triumph over India in the 1965 war.
According to General Munir, the September 6th occupies a “prominent position” in both military and national history. He praised the spirit of patriotism and unity that the Pakistani people and military demonstrated during the conflict, which prevented the enemy’s plans and safeguarded the country.
