Sofia Vergara recently discussed her breakup with Joe Manganiello in an open manner.
Her remarks follow the couple’s announcement of their split, which has lasted seven years.
“As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect for our privacy at this time as we traverse this new era of our lives,” Sofia and Joe stated in their joint statement to people.
Two days after they announced their separation, Joe filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the breakup.
Sofia recently talked with CBS’ Sunday Morning about her “public divorce” from the Magic Mike star, saying, “I’ve been moving on.
“I’ve been making progress.” People recognize that being in the public eye is a necessary aspect of becoming a star.
“I knew the media attention was going to happen,” she continued. Those things are impossible to disguise.
Sofia went on, “It wasn’t too bad.” You know, I have to admit that the press was really kind and respectful. I also assumed that they would continue to invent new stuff, but you know how that generally works out. I was taken aback by the way they just stated the obvious and called it a day.
