The dire circumstances in Gaza, according to the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and World Food Programme (WFP), are impeding the delivery of adequate help to the famished populace.
The agencies state that in order to increase resources, there needs to be:
More entry points (instead of the present two)
Every day, more trucks are permitted to cross the border
Less limitations on the movement of relief workers
assurances of safety for those delivering help
“Humans in Gaza face starvation within miles of food-filled trucks,” Cindy McCain, Executive Director of the World Food Program, cautioned. Numerous lives are at risk with every hour that passes. We can prevent starvation, but only if we are able to reach everyone in need, no matter where they may be, safely and with enough supplies.
