In two intense clashes with Pakistan Army troops on September 19 and 20, in the areas of North and South Waziristan, six soldiers were slain and twelve militants were killed.
In the Spinwam area of North Waziristan district on September 19, security personnel discovered a group of seven terrorists trying to cross into Pakistan. This information was provided by Inter-Services Public Relations in a statement. All seven of the militants were killed in the intense gunfire that broke out between the cornered infiltrators.
From the location, a sizable cache of explosives, ammo, and guns was also found.
In a another incident, a gang of terrorists attacked a security forces checkpost in the South Waziristan district’s Ladha area. The soldiers prevented the incursion by defending the location.
