The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) ministers in power described the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s much-hyped political event as a “failed rally,” citing “low attendance” and the event’s sudden finish in Lahore today.
Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar stated in television remarks today that “people have rejected the public gathering of PTI in Lahore.” He also mentioned that the leaders of the former ruling party had made lofty boasts regarding the power display, but they had all fallen short.
The firebrand leader and chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, caused the PTI Lahore rally to end abruptly, even failing to arrive at the venue before the 6pm deadline set by the local administration in a no-objection certificate (NOC).
