Following global market trends, Pakistani gold prices saw a notable increase on Tuesday, surpassing their previous high, following a day’s brief decline.
The cost of gold per tola rose by Rs1,100, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), reaching a new high of Rs273,000. In a similar vein, 10 grams of 24-karat gold cost Rs943, rising to Rs234,053.
This rise follows gold’s historic high of Rs272,500 a tola on Saturday, when prices saw a Rs500 boost.
Gold prices surged on the foreign market as well. The global rate, according to APGJSA, was $2,628 per ounce, up $11 for the day.
