Recently, Ryan Gosling revealed something fascinating about his kids’ Barbie watching.
The 43-year-old actor went viral earlier this week when he saw I’m Just Ken win Best Song at the Critics Choice Awards.
Because of Ryan’s memorable performance, the musical number created a stir during the summer.
The actor recently disclosed to E!News that his daughters have not yet seen the billion-dollar blockbuster during the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
“I’m not sure if you ought to see your dad in the role of Ken. I’m not sure when it’s appropriate to witness your father acting in that way. It becomes rather crazy,” he said.
Ryan did let them tour Barbie land, though, saying, “They came to set one day when I did a big musical number and they’ve seen little parts of it.”
Ryan, who is married to Eva Mendes and has two daughters, Esmerelda and Amada, has never disclosed any information about his family life online, even when it comes to posting images of them.
The Lala Land actor did acknowledge, though, that he was persuaded to play the part by his kids’ affection for Barbie.
“At first, they kept asking, ‘Hey, can we go to Target?’ so I knew they loved it. We proceed to Target, and they proceed to walk slowly past the Barbie section. After that, my spouse and I came to the conclusion that it was probably time to give them Barbies. And there was no interest in Ken, which was also quite intriguing,” Ryan clarified.
