According to an expert, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might be inconsolable following their Emmy rejection.
Prior to this, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were excluded from nominations for recognition for their docuseries; they were not nominated.
Lynn Carratt, a PR professional, says: “Meghan and Harry may feel slightly wounded by not receiving an Emmy Nomination, despite their Harry & Meghan docuseries becoming a record for the biggest debut for a Netflix documentary, reaching more than 28 million households, but they were up against some tough competition for nominations.”
She continued, saying, “The duo has also lost out on Emmy nominations in the past. They were nominated in the Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special category for their shocking 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, although not directly with Harry and Meghan, but with Oprah and the show’s creators.
“Meghan herself is no stranger to missing out on Emmy nominations; she spent seven seasons in the TV show ‘Suits,’ which never received any prestigious Emmy or Global Globe award nominations,” the expert stated, recalling Meghan’s career as an actress. For her final season as Rachel Zane on Suits, she was nominated in 2018 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, but she was not selected.”
