ISLAMABAD: Senator Irfan Siddiqui of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) announced that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman approved of the government’s proposed constitutional amendment.
The PML-N leader stated that although the constitutional change was not on the agenda of his meeting with the JUI-F chairman, it was discussed during his appearance on the Geo News program “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath” on Wednesday.
“Maulana Fazlur Rahman informed me about his reservations regarding the amendment. After meeting Fazl in Islamabad, he declared, “He has no objection to the formation of the constitutional court as well as the fundamental points of the amendment.”
