During the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event 2024 in San Jose, California, the well-known South Korean tech company Samsung unveiled a new smartphone line for the global market.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 are the three phones that Samsung unveiled.
The Verge reports that Samsung’s new AI-powered features are now accessible. The most important thing to understand about Samsung’s new S24 series is that all three models—the $799.99 Galaxy S24, the $999.99 Galaxy S24 Plus, and the $1,299.99 Galaxy S24 Ultra—are identical.
Since every phone in the US has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, on-device AI capabilities ought to perform similarly.
For all three phones, Samsung also guarantees seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, matching Google’s exceptional support period for the Pixel 8 series.
The construction of the Ultra is among its most remarkable new features. Like Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro, this year’s model has a titanium frame, which Samsung says offers greater durability.
Samsung, in contrast to Apple, did not use the material to reduce the weight of the phone; titanium is more durable than aluminum and requires less of it overall.
Samsung has opted to give endurance priority in this instance. The S24 Ultra is marginally heavier than the iPhone 15 Pro Max, weighing nearly identical to the S23 Ultra (8.22 oz or 232 grams).
The display is the other significant update up front. Similar to the S23 Ultra, the S24 Ultra has a 6.8-inch 1440p display, but it finally does away with the Note series’ curved edges in favor of a flat panel.
Unlike the straight-edged S24 and S24 Plus, the device’s edge still has a slight curve, but there’s now a much lower chance of you inadvertently running your S Pen over the side of the display.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor from Qualcomm powers the flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra. Additionally, this chipset promises to significantly improve NPU for effective AI computation. Three storage capacities are available: 12GB+1TB, 12GB+512GB, and 12GB+256GB.
