In addition to stoking rumors of his detention, the sudden “disappearance” of fiery politician and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur aroused numerous questions as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) continued its demonstration in Islamabad for a second day on Saturday.
Adviser to KP CM on Information Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif, addressing on Geo News programme “Naya Pakistan” on Saturday, stated that CM Gandapur was accompanied by his staff when Rangers men entered the KP House in Islamabad.
“We would have known if Ali Amin Gandapur departed for Peshawar [from Islamabad],” he stated, adding that “[…] no one has been able to contact the chief minister so far.” He verified that the KP top executive had made it to KP House following his exit from the road.
