KARACHI: In honor of Eid Milad un Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him), the Sindh government has declared two public holidays on September 5 and 6.
A notification states that over these two days, all provincial government offices would be closed. Since the provincial government also has jurisdiction over educational institutions, they will likewise continue to be closed.
To commemorate the 12th Rabi ul Awal and Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH), the federal government announced a public holiday on Saturday, September 6.
Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, the chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, made the announcement last week after failing to see the Rabi ul Awal moon.
