WASHINGTON: According to the official calendar of the president’s daily engagements, US President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today (Thursday).
Shortly after midnight in Pakistan, at approximately 4:30 p.m. local time, Shehbaz and Trump will meet in the White House’s Oval Office.
Although the White House has not confirmed which Pakistani officials will attend the high-level discussion, it is possible that Field Marshal Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), may go as well. The army chief’s participation hasn’t been verified by security sources, though.
