Following India’s Asia Cup group-stage victory over Pakistan on September 14, the International Cricket Council (ICC) accepted a complaint from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and ordered a review of India captain Suryakumar Yadav’s post-match remarks. This has put Yadav in serious trouble, according to Indian media.
According to the ICC, it is looking into the PCB’s complaint, which charges Suryakumar with politicizing cricket and violating the neutrality rule of conduct. The ICC match referee, along with representatives from the BCCI and PCB, may hold a formal hearing during which Yadav will be given the choice to either accept the accusation or face charges.
