At Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Wednesday, India defeated Bangladesh in the Super Fours match to go to the Asia Cup 2025 final.
With the win, Sri Lanka’s continental tournament campaign came to an end and India advanced to the final.
Despite opening batsman Saif Hassan’s courageous half-century, Bangladesh’s batting lineup collapsed on a pitiful 127 in 19.3 overs, setting them up to chase 169.
With 69 off 51 deliveries, including five sixes and five fours, the right-handed opener continued to lead the scoring pack.
Along with top-order batsman Parvez Hossain Emon, who hit 21 off 19 deliveries with two fours and a six, Saif was part of a crucial 42-run stand for the second wicket.
