US President Donald Trump’s plan to stop the war in Gaza was hailed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday. Sharif stated that stability and economic prosperity in the area depend on a lasting peace between Israel and the Palestinian people.
The prime minister expressed his conviction that a lasting peace between Israel and the Palestinians would be crucial to achieving both political stability and economic expansion in the area in a post on X.
He continued: “It is also my firm belief that President Trump is fully prepared to assist in whatever way necessary to make this extremely important and urgent understanding to become a reality.”
PM Shehbaz commended US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff’s efforts to bring the crisis to a close as well as President Trump’s leadership.
