As it considers whether to offer Kyiv weaponry that could bring more targets into range, the United States has chosen to provide Ukraine with intelligence that will enable it to attack Russia’s oil and power infrastructure, the Wall Street Journal said on Wednesday.
According to officials, the action might facilitate Kyiv’s targeting of power plants, pipelines, and refineries in an effort to cut off the Kremlin’s war funding.
Although the United States and Kyiv have always shared intelligence, the new breakthrough, according to the report released Wednesday, will make it simpler for Ukraine to strike refineries, pipelines, power plants, and other infrastructure in an effort to deny the Kremlin oil and money.
According to the publication, US officials are also requesting that NATO members offer comparable assistance.
