An improvised explosive device (IED) blast in the Garhi Qamar Din neighborhood of Peshawar on Thursday injured at least four police officers, according to authorities.

A police van was targeted on Kohat Road close to the Garhi Qamar Din Chowk when it was on patrol, according to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Masood Bangash.

Police and emergency personnel hurried to the location after receiving the information and took the injured to the hospital.

The policeman declared, “One of the injured is in critical condition.”

According to the most recent data released by the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), there was a startling 46% increase in total violence in Pakistan during the third quarter (Q3) of 2025.
