Ginnifer Goodwin, the talented voice behind Judy Hopps in the Zootopia franchise, recently shared her children’s reactions to the hit animated film. Her sons, Oliver, 11, and Hugo, 9, made their first public appearance at the London premiere of Zootopia 2.
During an upcoming interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Goodwin revealed how her children responded to the movie and how it helped her earn “cool mom” status. She explained, “They really felt like this is the first movie where I could slip under the ‘mommy is an actress’ radar.”
The Once Upon a Time actress added that her children didn’t even realize it was her voice for years. “Zootopia has become something that means a lot to our family because it’s their favorite movie. Though Judy Hopps isn’t their top character, it’s still a family favorite,” she shared.
Goodwin also joked about winning their love and cooperation during press tours: “So, now I’ve got cool points. I bribed them to come on the tour.”
In Zootopia 2, Judy Hopps teams up once again with Nick Wilde, voiced by Jason Bateman, as they work as ZPD officers solving a new mystery. This time, they face Gary De’Snake, a mysterious snake determined to prove that his grandmother, Agnes, created Zootopia’s weather walls—not the Lynxley family, who took the credit and exiled reptiles.
The sequel introduces new characters alongside familiar faces. Ke Huy Quan lends his voice to Gary De’Snake, Andy Samberg plays Pawbert Lynxley, and Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song bring Cattrick and Kitty Lynxley to life.
Zootopia 2 is now showing in theaters, delighting fans with its thrilling story, beloved characters, and heartwarming family moments.
