In his second game back from a long-term injury, Neymar has a muscle issue that will keep him out of training for at least two weeks, according to his coach at Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
The superstar from Brazil only played 26 minutes as a substitute in the second half of Monday’s 3-0 victory over Esteghlal in the AFC Champions League Elite before hobbling off with what appeared to be a right hamstring injury.
The 32-year-old Neymar, who signed a big contract with Paris Saint-Germain in 2023, had surgery on his right knee last month after missing more than a year.
Jorge Jesus, the Portuguese coach of Al Hilal, remarked, “Neymar, it’s not an easy case.”
Medically speaking, his knee is recovered, but since he hasn’t played in a while, he will experience issues like today, including muscular soreness.
