RAWALPINDI: According to the military’s media wing, security forces killed three Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants on Tuesday after thwarting their attempt to infiltrate on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In the general region of Hassan Khel in North Waziristan District, security forces saw a number of terrorists attempting to enter Pakistan across the Afghanistan border, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
But the security forces surrounded and killed three extremists in a fierce gunfight, successfully foiling the infiltration attempt.
“Pakistan has consistently been asking the interim Afghan government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border,” according to the ISPR.
