As they get closer to finalizing their divorce, Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner asked the court to let them to forego parenting classes.
news was able to get a court document stating that Costner, 69, and Baumgartner, 49, have settled their custody disputes through a Marital Settlement Agreement. In an effort to “prevent further delay and frustration of entry” of the divorce decree, the ex-couple requested that the P.E.A.C.E. parenting class requirement be waived by the Santa Barbara County Court.
Their divorce won’t be official unless Judge Thomas Anderle gives his approval to the ruling. Judge Anderle has “not yet signed the Judgment of Dissolution,” according to sources who spoke with news but he intends to do so within the next week.
The parties will be officially divorced as soon as the decision is signed and entered. The terms of the settlement will not be disclosed in the ruling since they are private.
EVEN COSTNER AND EX-CHRISTIN BAUMGARTNER AGREE ON A DIVORCE SETTLEMENT
According to sources who spoke with news at the time, Baumgartner filed for divorce in May 2023 and the pair had already negotiated a settlement deal in September. In California, a divorce cannot be finalized until six months following the filing date.
The “Yellowstone” actress and Baumgartner’s divorce got off to a sour start when the designer of purses sued Costner for unpaid child support and questions about the legality of their prenuptial agreement.
