The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder’s official X handle tweeted a contentious video on the Fall of Dhaka episode, and its party leaders appeared perplexed as to whether it was an endorsement or a categorical rejection.
The party’s parliamentarian Ali Muhammad Khan stated on Friday, in response to the dubious X (formerly Twitter) post, that Imran Khan was not aware of the tweet and had made the decision to “personally approve” social media content going forward.
The imprisoned former premier and the contentious video that was uploaded to his verified X account have been separated by the PTI legislator. The video caused outrage from a variety of sources, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Arif.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad today, Ali made it clear that Imran’s perspective needed to be considered within a political framework.
