The UN has stated that efforts to provide desperately needed humanitarian aid to hospitals in northern Gaza are being thwarted by a delayed and capricious inspection regime as well as an almost uniform denial of attempts to transfer aid by Israeli authorities.
The head of OCHA’s office in the occupied Palestinian territories, Andrea De Domenico, told reporters on Friday that “operations in the north [are] increasingly more complicated.”
“The Israelis have systematically, or quasi-systematically, refused” to allow help to pass, De Domenico continued.
