After failing to place in the top eight in the men’s javelin final at the World Athletics Championships 2025 in Tokyo, Pakistan’s top javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem’s chances of winning a medal were shattered.
After the first round, the Pakistani star placed seventh with a throw of 82.73 meters to start the final.
He was fouled on his second try, threw 82.75 meters on his third, and was fouled again on his fourth attempt.
Nadeem’s hopes of winning a medal were dashed when he failed to place in the top eight, which was necessary to earn three more chances in the final.
The reigning champion Neeraj Chopra of India did not have a dreamy return to the location of his 2021 Olympic victory.
