According to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), there were 193.098 million mobile users in Pakistan at the end of August 2024, up from 192.924 million at the end of July 2024.
By the end of August 2024, there were 137.920 million 3G and 4G customers worldwide, up from 136.312 million at the end of July, according to the data. During this time, the Next Generation Mobile Services (NGMS) penetration rate increased from 56.15% to 56.72%, while the cellular teledensity stayed constant at 79% by the end of August.
In contrast, Jazz had a rise in 4G users from 47.993 million at the end of August, while its 3G users decreased from 2.897 million at the end of July to 2.718 million.
