In an attempt to reach a wider audience, Central Depository Services India (CDSL), the nation’s only listed depository, has introduced multilingual support for chatbots and account statements.
In terms of the quantity of demat accounts it manages, CDSL is the biggest depository in the nation. operated nearly 101 million demat accounts as of the end of December 2023; these accounts were necessary for trading shares and other securities.
According to CDSL, there will be 23 languages available for the consolidated accounts statements (CAS), which are a single account statement that lists all of the financial transactions an investor made in a given month across direct investing, mutual funds, and other securities held in demat form. Its chatbot, Buddy Sahayta 24*7, will now be available in four languages in the interim.
During CDSL’s silver jubilee function on Wednesday, Madhabi Puri Buch, Chairperson of the Securities and Exchange Board of India, announced these initiatives.
