The races begin with the second grand prix of the season in China on March 21–23. There is a shorter race on Saturday prior to the major event on Sunday.
The remaining races are in Miami from May 2–4, Belgium from July 25–27, Austin, Texas, for the US Grand Prix on October 17–19, Brazil from November 7–9, and Qatar from November 28–30 for the penultimate event.
There are also sprint races in China, Miami, Austin, Brazil, and Qatar on the program this year.
A sprint was previously held in Belgium in 2023.
The Australian Grand Prix season 2025 takes off from March 14–16.
Data from F1 has also been made public to show that spectator numbers for sprint races are greater than for grand prix events that follow the traditional schedule of two practice sessions on Friday, one on Saturday, qualifying, and the race.
According to a release, live viewership for this year’s F1 qualifying and sprint in China exceeded average practice numbers for the first two races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia by 40% in all F1’s top 15 markets.
“The sprint has been a great success for Formula 1 bringing all our fans more action and racing on the track,” stated F1 chairman Stefano Domenicali.
