Conor Gallagher, a midfield player for Chelsea, claims he is solely “focusing on England” at Euro 2024 despite rumors he may quit his childhood team this summer.
Gallagher has been connected to Tottenham or Aston Villa, and any deal would be considered a “pure profit,” which would enable Chelsea to get under the Premier League’s stringent profit and sustainability regulations.
During most of the previous season, the 24-year-old Gallagher replaced the injured Reece James as Chelsea’s captain. Gallagher’s impressive play earned him a spot at England’s second big tournament.
Gallagher attended the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. “I’m a Chelsea player right now and I’m just thinking about England and the tournament,” he stated.
It’s not challenging. I’m in England now, and I couldn’t be more content with my situation.
All I’ve been thinking about is England. For me and the nation at large, this is the most crucial thing at the moment.
“I’m hoping I can help the team more on the pitch in this tournament.”
