In an interview with GQ, the Peaky Blinders star revealed, “When I was a younger actor, I was really, really harsh on everything that I was in. I despise watching myself. I despised looking at myself on screen.”
He went on, “I remember seeing [‘Red Eye’] and thinking, ‘Oh, that’s kind of a schlocky B movie.'” Rachel McAdams delivers an amazing performance. But I didn’t believe I offered a particularly subtle performance in it.”
