In a new interview, Cillian Murphy revealed some disturbing realities about his 2005 picture Red Eye, including how he first disliked staring at himself on screen.
In an interview with GQ, the Peaky Blinders star revealed, “When I was a younger actor, I was really, really harsh on everything that I was in. I despise watching myself. I despised looking at myself on screen.”
He went on, “I remember seeing [‘Red Eye’] and thinking, ‘Oh, that’s kind of a schlocky B movie.'” Rachel McAdams delivers an amazing performance. But I didn’t believe I offered a particularly subtle performance in it.”
