In response to Ireland’s and Norway’s votes to recognize a Palestinian state, the Israeli foreign ministry announced on Wednesday that it has ordered the immediate withdrawal of its ambassadors to those countries.
The choice to acknowledge a Palestinian state, according to Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz, jeopardizes Israel’s right to self-defense and its attempts to free the 128 captives that Hamas is holding in Gaza.
Katz declared, “Israel will not remain silent.” “We are determined to achieve our goals: restoring security to our citizens and the removal of Hamas and the return of the hostages.”
“There are no more righteous goals than these,” Katz stated.
