Daniel Dubois and Anthony Joshua, 34, will face off for the IBF world title on September 21 at Wembley Stadium.
In their rematch in December, Fury, 35, will take on Oleksandr Usyk; a victory for the Morecambe fighter and Joshua might lead to a highly anticipated undisputed bout between the two.
“Let’s just start fighting while we’re still fresh. How many battles must I win before I meet Fury? Come on, let’s go, Joshua said.
The superfight has been discussed for a number of years, but talks have stopped. This fight might be the largest and most profitable matchup in the division.
But with Saudi Arabia’s recent investment in boxing, there’s new hope that the long-awaited match may finally happen.
It’s been a long-brewing fight, Joshua stated to Sport on Wednesday.
I can’t wait to battle Fury when I’m 50 because I would have fought in so many battles. I can’t just wait to fight; I have to keep fighting.
