The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has disclosed a budget surplus of Rs. 1754 billion for the fiscal year 2024–2025.
Speaker Babar Saleem Swati presided over the two-hour-late budget session.
The KP Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, was present when Finance Minister Aftab Alam presented the budget.
The FM began by saying that the voters in the postponed election had given the PTI a clear mandate.
Speaking about the policies put in place by the PTI, he stated that it had kept its word to provide equitable and easily available health care to the populace, as well as to expand the number of schools, colleges, and institutions and launch new initiatives aimed at raising educational standards.
The FM emphasized how PTI’s projects had negatively impacted the economy.
