The new chief of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) will be Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik, the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday.
As the nation’s spymaster, Lt Gen Malik has taken over from Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum, and he will assume command on September 30.
He is currently employed with General Headquarters (GHQ) as the adjutant general.
In Waziristan, the recently designated Director General (DG) of ISI has assumed the role of Commander of the infantry division and brigade of Balochistan.
In addition, he was awarded the Sword of Honor for his course work and has held the positions of chief instructor at NDU and instructor at Command and Staff College.
