Graham Smith, CEO of the anti-monarchy group Republic, has stated that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can do whatever they want.
Smith was responding to a tweet from royal expert Russell Myers, after Harry and Meghan caused controversy by launching a new website using royal titles.
Russell took to X, formerly Twitter, to post his scoop for the Mirror UK, writing, “NEW: Harry and Meghan didn’t consult royals before launching ‘exploitative’ website.”
Graham Smith commented on it, saying, “I don’t hold a torch for Harry and Meghan, but they can do whatever they want.” And as for exploiting their titles, that is the very point of monarchy.
He went on to say, “Charles and the others exploit their positions for personal gain on an industrial scale.”
Meghan and Harry have launched their new website, which replaces the Archewell Foundation’s site, and the couple has faced widespread criticism for utilizing royal titles.
Hugo Vickers, a royal historian, has described it as “exploitative in the extreme.”

Another royal analyst, Angela Levin, claims that Harry and Meghan despise the royal family and appear to be working on their own.
“It’s full of exaggeration and pomposity and is a spiteful attack on the real royals who must do something-please.”
