Following months of rumors that their romance had ended, the “My Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer filed for divorce from Ben Affleck last Tuesday.
It was in Georgia that the power couple celebrated their second marriage precisely two years prior to Lopez’s filing.
In June, People magazine was informed by sources that Lopez was residing in the 38,000 square foot Beverly Hills home owned by the couple, while Affleck was renting a nearby property while they tried to sell the expensive mansion. The estate was bought by the two in May 2023 for $60,805,000, and it was marketed for $68 million early this month.
Ben Affleck’s $68 million mansion is still for sale inside Jenifer Lopez; there has been no price reduction throughout the divorce.
He moved out some time ago, a source said at the time to News. “Jennifer is devastated that the marriage is finished. She was desperate for things to work since she loved love.”
In the petition from Tuesday that News was able to access, Lopez did not say whether or not she and Affleck had a prenuptial agreement.
According to reports, Affleck and Lopez were married in 2022 without a prenuptial agreement. However, famous divorce lawyer Christopher Melcher told the News that he was reluctant to make a decision about the split of assets.
