On Wednesday, the Ministry of Religious Affairs made public its judgment about the costs borne by those who are selected as successful candidates but choose not to perform the Hajj.
This new law will deduct Rs. 2 lacs from the allotted expenses of those who choose not to perform the Hajj.

Within the parameters of Hajj operations, the decision seeks to maintain financial restraint while encouraging responsible decision-making.
The Ministry confirmed that the deduction for non-participants will be Rs. 1 lac and 97 thousand following the execution of the Hajj flight schedule.
